8月10日、世界62か国、約200万人のメンバーからなる155の青年グループが、アントニオ・グテーレス国連事務総長宛てに共同書簡を提出した。その内容は、コロナ禍の韓国で起きている人権侵害に関して、韓国政府に強く抗議し、迫害を終わらせるよう請願するものであった。

8月10日、世界62カ国、155もの青年団体が、国連事務総長と国連人道問題調整事務所（OCHA）や国連人権高等弁務官事務所（OHCHR）などの国連関連機関に共同書簡を送った。この共同書簡に参加した青年団体の会員数を合計すると100万人にも上る。
