A "Cheaper" Alternative To Traditional Massage Therapy!

Posted October 6, 2018 by eve2020

Massagers and More is a blog that provides detailed reviews of automated massagers (compression, percussion), and massage chairs. We do the leg work and dig into the details, so you don't have to!

Massage therapy is an industry that continues to grow in prominence. It's no surprise then to see tons of massage establishments crop up everywhere. Most are actually pretty good. They're clean, licensed, and employ highly trained therapists who understand the art of massage. But traditional massage establishments do have one major drawback:

They're way too expensive for the average Joe and plain Jane!

At up to $80-90 a pop, traditional massage can get expensive real quick. 2 sessions a month for a whole year, and you're down almost $2000!

It begs the question: is there a cheaper alternative to traditional massage?

Step forth the massage chair. A complex device capable of massaging most of the body including the back, shoulders, neck, arms, legs, and feet. Today's massage chairs are so advanced, that the rollers are able to protrude in/out of the chair to allow for varied intensities.

But are massage chairs an effective alternative to traditional massage?

No not presently. A machine will never replace the human touch of a skilled therapist, and that's because massage is so much more than mechanical rollers and airbags. It's an art! But massage chairs are definitely a cheaper (in the long term) alternative to traditional massage.

A combined regimen of both massage chair and traditional therapy could work really well! With so many features, and so many established brands, picking a massage chair can be a daunting task!

How do you know what to choose?

Massagers and More is a website that writes in depth massage chair reviews with the sole purpose of helping people find the "right" chair. The experience that comes from owning and using a massage chair is what differentiates lead writer Eve at Massagers and More from the rest. Does experience really matter? If you're planning on investing anything upwards of $1500, absolutely it does!

Are massage chairs an effective alternative to traditional therapy? No, but it's definitely cheaper in the long term. A combined regimen of "man" and "machine" is something everyone who loves massage should consider!
