Restrictive abortion laws are still prohibitive in Argentina

Ireland had faced a tragic circumstance when the death of a 31-year-old woman due to denial in abortion created a lot of anxiety among protesters.

 
Argentina lost a long legal battle surrounding abortion. In contrary to an Irish referendum having to prove about a Catholic majority the right to have the debate, Argentina's senate merely dismissed the vote to encourage abortion in the majority.
Currently, Argentina only exhibits laws where women are allowed for abortion if at all it risks their health or is hampered by forceful sexual activity (rape). Consequently, the legislation which was proposed by 31 lawmakers, was equally rejected by 38 others.

Guttmacher Institute release a theory which claims that a possible likelihood of unsafe abortion is tremendously high in countries which restrict the practice. Conversely, abortion being restricted only adds a negative loop to the overall pregnancy scenario. Additionally, in the year 2016, 17 women died because of illegal abortion procedures, which were off the record.

60 known Irish lawmakers were urging Argentina counterparts to sign off a letter, sharing their own experience in Ireland. They concluded that safe and lawful abortion practices are necessary and readily available my masses around the globe. Hence, Argentina should also have a motion to approve the bill.

A similar incident also accounted in Argentina when a 14-year-old was murdered when her boyfriend forced an abortion on her without medical consent.

Latin America still has a heated debate going on over the abortion ban. Brazil's supreme court has organized a public hearing on the abortion ban where women can have access to abortion up to 12 weeks into being pregnant. Argentina, however, had to face a crucial moment to an abortion ban, losing profoundly on the heated debate.
