The Indian Orchard-based insurance service has been taking all the necessary steps to practice physical distancing while providing RMV services.

Indian Orchard, Massachusetts; To be dated: Massachusetts has been one of the hardest-hit states during the COVID19 pandemic. However, as the curve began to flatten, Governor Baker announced to reopen the state on May 18th. Until a reliable vaccine surfaces, the Baker administration has called for utmost cooperation by businesses to fight the pandemic together.
This places a massive responsibility on employers to adhere to the Mandatory Workplace Safety Standards and Sector-Specific Protocols. Following the guidelines, Western Mass Auto Insurance has introduced curbside RMV services in their Indian Orchard office.
A representative of the company stated, “Given how the COVID-19 crisis disrupted everything around us, the government also revised the RMV requirements. The registration plates that were due to expire in March, April, May, and June expired in July 2020. To further promote physical distancing, the government encouraged insurance companies to help clients renew their registrations electronically. If you’ve still not gotten yours renewed, now is a great time to benefit from the revised policies.”
The state law of Massachusetts requires every vehicle and trailer to be properly registered with the RMV. The owner can’t legally drive the car if they don’t have a legally acquired title. There are two ways to go about this. Either the vehicle owner applies for registration and vehicle title purchased from an individual or from a dealer. Each of the two categories follows a different procedure.
In the case of a vehicle purchased from a dealer, the owner needs to visit their insurer along with proof of ownership, correct payment, proof of insurance, title and registration application, and identity documents. In the case of a leased car, the owner needs a signed a power of attorney from the leasing company to apply for the registry.
Western Mass Auto Insurance aims to simplify the process for the residents of Indian Orchard. Following the government’s guidelines, there is a strict ‘No walk-in policy.’ Vehicle owners can book their appointments and pick up their registration plates curbside.
The spokesperson continued, “Nothing matters more to Western Mass Auto Insurance than the safety of our staff and clients. We have introduced curbside pickup, so there are no queues outside our office. All you need to stay in your car, and our representative will help you out where you are. Your license plate will be ready in less than fifteen minutes.”
The company offers auto insurance and homeowner’s insurance services in Indian Orchard and Springfield.
