Spain, February 20, 2013 - The Minister of Employment and Economy of Castilla-La Mancha, Carmen Casero, has highlighted the "successful trade missions to the horticultural sector entrepreneurs, organic food and wine have been conducted in the Fruit Logistica and BioFach fair 2013", that have taken place in Germany.

In the first, the regional government, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Trade Promotion Institute of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX), under the Directorate General for Economic and European Affairs of the Ministry of Employment and the Economy , has supported the group participation of companies in the region at Fruit Logistica 2013, the most important European trade show sector, held in the German capital, Berlin.

At its twenty-first edition, Fruit Logistica has emerged as one of the largest trade fairs of fruits and vegetables, with about 2,000 exhibitors, more than 56,000 visitors from 132 countries and an exhibition area of ??88,100 meters square.

Castilla-La Mancha participates in BioFach with the goal of exposing a sample of the best food and organic wines from our region, while strengthening the presence of both agri-food as wine producers, aware of the strong demand for ecological products and wines international markets, and in particular the German market.
On this occasion, several wineries in the region have been awarded the prize to the organization Mundus Vini fair delivery during the first day of the fair. Of the 18 awards given to Spanish wines, 7 of them have been of wineries Castilian-La Mancha, who have earned a total of two gold medals and 5 silver.

BioFach is considered the most important fair of the sector in Europe, and is a leading worldwide. The more than 40,300 visitors who visit over 2,400 exhibitors and ensure such international importance. Moreover, in parallel to the fair, and in the same facility, held a forum about organic product which involved during the last year more than 8,000 professionals.
