Highly competent in conflict resolution, Varun Naidu has been a part of Delta Police Management Team. Apart from overseeing sworn officers, support staff and volunteers, he managed to operate an annual budget of 34 million dollars. Being the member of the management team, Varun worked collaboratively with Delta Police Association and the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

Holding a solid experience of more than 26 years in operational policing in Delta Police Department, Varun served as the member of Criminal Investigation Branch in 2001. Here, he conducted the drug and major case management. He also served the role of primary investigator and file coordinator in files including marijuana grow operations, homicides, and other violent offences.

Varun holds a proven track of record of leading teams to meet the strategic direction of an organization through change management. Apart from change management, he is highly competent in leadership, investigations, conflict resolution, report writing, court testimony, emergency management, and team building. Serving the Delta Police Department for years, Varun Naidu oversaw 200 sworn officers, 73 support staff, and over 200 volunteers. Besides, he operated an annual budget of 34 million dollars.

Pertaining to his education credentials, Varun graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Education. Pertaining to the awards he has received, he won the Oliver Thompson Memorial Award at the Police Academy. In his leisure time, Varun Naidu loves to watch sports especially NFL. Besides, he regularly goes to gym and has travelled a lot along with his family. Soon, he will join the Porsche club. He is quite fond of reading and watching movies.

About Varun Naidu

Apart from all this, Varun Naidu has been the inspector in charge of Operational Support Branch where he managed Traffic Section, Vulnerable Sector, Community Policing, Victim Services, Community Relations and School Liaison Units. It was his responsibility to ensure that the Operational Support Branch was adequately resourced and managed. In September 2017, Varun Naidu served in Inspector Strategic Services Branch where he conducted reviews and coordinated special projects for the Department. He also supervised the Emergency Management Section and the Victim Services Unit.
