The students conducted surveys, research and data analysis, interviews and discussions, field visits, audits, presentations, collection of E-waste, campaigns in process of exploring the environmental curriculum.
While talking about the impact of Microsoft’s Create to Inspire initiative on school students Mrs. Sharada Rao Headmistress of the Orbis School said, “The programme enabled the development of 21st century skills like creativity and innovation, critical thinking, communication, collaboration and social responsibility amongst the students.”
Mrs. Sharada Rao further said, "It was gratifying to see children step outside the classroom and get engaged more practically and creatively. It is very important for them to be aware of the relationship between the environmental challenges and the daily life choices they make. Through this we could connect to the community beyond the school boundaries. Taking further steps towards being a completely environmentally sustainable school, we are turning both our schools into a "plastic and thermocol free campus’’ in the coming academic year.
