Camp in comfort and style at the Twinwood Festival in 2019

Twinwood Festival is pleased to announce that glamping with Brook Bell Tents will be back on the menu in 2019. With prices from as low as £24.75 per person per nigh for a 5-night stay, spots are sure to sell out fast. The Glamping option offers luxury camping in a prime location on the festival site, with easy access to showers, flushing toilets and of course… hairdryers!
“There is no better way to enjoy the festival than by settling down in one of our luxury Brook Bell tents,” says Annie Wooding, Creative Director of Twinwood Events. “Upon arrival, check into a ready-pitched, fully-furnished tent complete with double-height, air-sprung mattresses, crisp white linen and warm winter tog duvet and pillows, as well as a mirror, lighting, bedside table and rugs.”
Brook Bell Tents are spacious 5 metre Bell Tents that are airy yet windproof and waterproof. They make the perfect Glamping accommodation option for a glamorous festival getaway at Twinwood Festival 2019. “You have the option of booking a tent for up to 4 people from Thursday to Tuesday and we can accommodate single and/or double bed arrangements,” says Wooding.
To take glamping a step further, 2019 offers the first appearance of Twinwood’s Luxury Pop-Up Yurt Hotel. “We are delighted that we can offer even more fabulous on-site luxury accommodation with our pop-up Yurt Hotel managed and run by the experienced and highly acclaimed company Cloudhouses, the home of yurts and squrts,” says Wooding.
The pop-up Yurt hotel is situated in a private enclosed area close to the actual festival and offers a vast array of handmade yurts in different sizes and featuring different specifications. 16 amp electricity is available in a select number of luxury yurts.
“The Yurt Hotel also features an extravagant Pamper Yurt with quality hair tools, large mirrors and USB charging points, perfect for getting all set up for the Mr and Miss Vintage Competition,” says Wooding. “We also have a private chill-out area with an exclusive bar and live music!”
Featuring excellent toilets and showers, a car park close by, a reception marquee and trained staff on hand at all times, the Yurt Hotel is the ideal experience for festival goers looking for ready-made accommodation with that extra bit of fun thrown in all in an exclusive and convenient spot.
“Glamping options don’t include festival tickets, so be sure to buy those too before checking out,” says Wooding. “Yurt accommodation requires customers to also purchase a full festival ticket, and payment plans for accommodation are available through Cloudhouses when booking for the festival.”
Not only do festival goers get all the fun of the fair with four days of non-stop live entertainment from the UK’s hottest line-up of swing, retro, vintage and jazz musicians as well as a plethora of watering holes, restaurants, stalls, fashion and just plain fun, there’s the added enjoyment of escaping the rat run with an entirely new glamping experience, whether that’s a Brook Bell Tent or an exclusive Yurt.
“Whether you’re planning on roughing it in your own tent, glamping in style in a Brook Bell Tent or checking into the exclusive Yurt Hotel for a truly unique experience, there are plenty of options available for accommodation at Twinwood Festival 2019,” says Wooding. “Bookings have opened and are coming in fast, so get that summer 2019 on and book now to avoid missing out!”
About us:
Twinwood Festival is held at the former RAF Twinwood Farm Airfield in Clapham, Bedfordshire, England. Its roots go back to 27 August 1944 when Glenn Miller and his AAF band performed an outdoor concert at RAF Twinwood for RAF personnel. On 15 December 1944, Glenn Miller boarded a Norseman aircraft from RAF Twinwood and he was never seen or heard of again. RAF Twinwood was decommissioned after WWII and the site lay almost untouched until 1989 when the company Twinwood Events was formed and the Twinwood Control Tower was converted into the Glenn Miller Museum. When restoration was completed in 2002, a celebration Glenn Miller concert was held. Its success led to the birth of the annual Glenn Miller Festival, held over the August bank holiday weekend. In 2007 the event was renamed The Twinwood Festival to incorporate a slightly wider genre of music. It is now one of the largest vintage music festivals in Europe. The Twinwood Festival has four stages and thirteen venues, as well as campsites, pop up shops and plenty of food and drink on offer. Live bands perform continuously throughout the four day weekend. The event continues to grow year on year attracting tens of thousands of vintage music, style and fashion fans from all over the world. For more information, please visit: www.twinwoodevents.com.
