Every couple expects their big day to be something out of a fairy-tale with every detail being impeccable. Since Pakistani weddings have back-to-back events, there is a lot to be done beforehand. From the bride’s dress to the floral arrangements at the venue, meticulous planning is done to make sure you manage everything easily. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Recently, a two-day event, ‘The Wedding Expo Karachi 2018’, first of its kind, was held at Expo Centre. The idea behind the event was to bridge the gap between shoppers and exhibitors, and to make wedding shopping much easier and effortless. There were photographers, dress designers; jewellery exhibitors, furniture designers, salons, makeup artists, wedding planners, decorators, rent-a-car and even matrimonial services were available to book, all under one roof.

The attendees were offered discounts and packages for booking their services at the event and vouchers to avail later on; the event also had lucky draws and giveaways. Moreover, the crowd was offered a fashion show, where designers and event planners would showcase their products. The show followed through with the wedding theme as the dhol walas played the beat and models dressed in bridals and groom’s wear would strut at the venue.

Many renowned brands and celebrities supported the event and had high hopes for it. The event ambassador and supporting partner, Nadia Hussain, shared her experience with You! about how stressful her wedding planning was, “Anything that was wedding related, there was so much running around. It was really insane, so I think even if you get it all under one roof, it will make things a lot easier. It’s like a one-stop solution.”
