Thailand extends visa-on-arrival fee waiver until 31st October 2019!

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to announce that the Royal Thai Government has approved the extension of the visa-on-arrival fee waiver for citizens of 20 countries for another six months, until 31 October.

 
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to announce that the Royal Thai Government has approved the extension of the visa-on-arrival fee waiver for citizens of 20 countries for another six months, until 31 October.

Citizens of Andora, Bulgaria, Bhutan, China including Taiwan, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Papua New Guinea, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan will be exempted from the 2,000 Baht visa-on-arrival fee for the purpose of touring in Thailand for not more than 15 days.

The government first approved the visa-on-arrival fee waiver from 15 November 2018, to 14 January 2019, and has now further extended the measure to 31st October 2019.

For Visa on Arrival

The Thai government has completely waived off the visa-on-arrival fee for citizens of 20 countries including India.
To get this benefit all you need to do is fill this application form.

Requirements:

The decision was announced in the Royal Thai Government Gazette on 30 April, reasoning it as a measure to stimulate and promote tourism as well as to enhance the kingdom’s attractiveness among foreign visitors.

Valid passport – The passport needs to show validity for at least 3-6 months from your date of departure to Thailand
Passport photograph (4×6 cm)
Return flight ticket – The confirmed return flight ticket proving your return within 15 days.
Proof of accommodation – A hotel reservation or a signed letter from the host confirming the place of stay
Valid e-mail address – After filing the application form, another form will be sent that needs to be filled in before the trip. Make sure that the address provided is valid
VoA fees (if arrival to Thailand is after 31st October 2019)
Applicant must carry sufficient funding (at least 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family)

2 Passport sized photographs
Valid Passport
Return flight ticket
Proof of accommodation
Bank Statement showing a minimum balance of 20,000 tbh per person.

Follow the below steps for obtaining the visa:

Step 1: Download and fill the application visa form

Step 2: Once the application form is filled, you can either walk-in or book an appointment.
(Please note: Travellers need to check with their embassy/ consulate and Visa agency.)

Step 3: Submit the application form along with the documents at the nearest Cox and Kings office with the required documents.

Step 4: It takes approximately 3-4 working days to receive the visa
