In this article, the main issues related to obesity in the world are described.

Obesity is one of the serious health issues in the United States that is spreading very rapidly. The disease is connected with improper nutrition, and it affects both children and adults. Every day, people consume some food without taking into consideration the harm it causes to their organism. Undoubtedly, when a person takes a basket of fries or one burger a month, it is not as hazardous as when they consume junk food regularly. The problem is that people are getting more and more indifferent about their nutrition; in many cases, the only thing they are concerned about is how to eat cheap and fast. Therefore, this paper discusses the issue of obesity which has become a widespread phenomenon among the citizens of the United States.
The topic of obesity is relevant nowadays and requires much attention both from ordinary people and from doctors. In general, obese people are those who have neglectful attitude towards their own body and health. These people need help from their relatives and friends, or even doctors, if necessary. Therefore, measures need to be taken in order to raise the awareness about the problem under discussion.
To begin with, obesity is a state when there is excess fat in the human body, which may happen due to the complex of environmental, biological, behavioral, and socioeconomic aspects. When a person is obese, the body weight is increased in relation to their height and is usually not according to the Body Mass Index (BMI). Many factors including overeating, genetics issues, hormones, environment, and insufficiency of physical activities can cause obesity. Nevertheless, there exist the common solutions to this problem: keeping diet, taking medications, doing exercises or even surgery if needed.
Obesity not only results in shapeless and unattractive body, but it also leads to much more serious consequences that cannot usually be solved by training in a gym. One of the negative results of obesity is diabetes. This disorder hindres the secretion of such human hormone as insulin that is inevitable in the process of blood sugar control. In addition, obesity is often followed by high blood pressure. Obesity makes the heart work faster and harder, so it can provide human body with enough oxygen; consequently, the blood pressure becomes higher and a person starts suffering from high blood pressure. In some cases, such high blood pressure leads to heart attacks, which in turn, may sometimes be fatal.
In order to complete the project on obesity, one should take a series of steps. First, it is necessary to evaluate socioeconomic issues leading to obesity which means conducting a survey asking people their opinion on the origin of the disease. The next step is to discover the ways of primary care that are inevitable in handling obesity. In particular, they should include referrals of specialists, different tests and examinations for the purpose of assessing the patient’s condition. Then, if the problem cannot be eliminated domiciliary, and a patient asks or needs hospital care, they must be necessary provided with special medications and procedures to struggle with obesity. This phase also includes tertiary and rehabilitation care. It is vital to interview such people and decide how to continue the process of recovery at home. Finally, one should assess the quality of care provided to patients and determine the total cost of such care. For this purpose, a survey technique will be the most appropriate solution.
To summarize, obesity poses a serious threat to the human health. Hopefully, people will pay more attention to what they eat and what lifestyle they lead because obesity is a kind of virus that is not going to stop spreading unless people take some steps to eliminate it from their life.
