Toni Kunac has been associated with the world of fashion and glamour for more than 2 decades, and has been a makeup artist for more than 15 of those years. He began by working for a celebrity makeup person in the late 80’s and it didn’t take long before his mentor realized what Toni was capable of. Very early in his career he was allowed to handle candidates on his own which gave him the perfect opportunity to launch himself.

When he is working with clients, the first and foremost thing that he does is to prep the skin. This will vary based on the client’s skin type and the season. The products used will also differ based on dry to oily to combination skin. While the skin is absorbing the moisturizer, he tries to find the best match based on the color characteristics. The foundation he uses varies based on whether the person is cool toned or warm toned. He uses a stippling brush to apply it in a precise manner, although hands can also do the job. The concealer is an important part of the procedure and he ensures that he never misses this step. For contouring he uses an angled brush with a shade darker bronzer to create a sun glazed look. Contouring techniques are crucial and does this on 4 parts of the face.

According to him, preparing the face is very important because when done improperly it can ruin the entire look. Although considered by many people to be a fabulous job with a hue of models and celebrities always around him, Toni Kunac takes his job very seriously. He has worked for a large number of designers across the United States.
