Thermtest Announces New Webinar Series: Thermal Conductivity of Heat Transfer Fluids using the Transient Hot-Wire Technique

Posted May 22, 2020 by thermtestinc

New Brunswick, CA, Release: May 20, 2020. Thermtest will be hosting the free webinar online on 03 June 2020 called Thermal Conductivity of Heat Transfer Fluids using the Transient Hot-Wire Technique.

This webinar will reveal important information about the benefits of using the Transient Hot-Wire (THW) method for heat transfer fluids such as ethylene glycol and water.

Transient Hot-Wire (THW) is the primary method for the measurement of thermal conductivity of fluids, nanofluids and pastes because of the wide range of applications, its high accuracy and repeatability. According to its theory, the sensor consisted by a metallic wire is placed inside the measured sample, which thermal conductivity is observed by the heating rate of a metallic wire over time after a step current is applied to it.

Dr. Sofia Mylona, Thermtest’s Principal Research Scientist will be leading the presentation and will share some important points on determining the Thermal Conductivity of heat transfer fluids using the Transient Hot-Wire method. This webinar is a chance for people to hear from internationally recognized expert in the thermal conductivity measurements. They can ask questions live and get information not easily available through other channels.

Thermtest is a global business that has been advancing the measurement of thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, and specific heat for more than a decade, with more than 2000 satisfied customers worldwide. The company is in New Brunswick, Canada with hubs at located in Europe and Latin America.
