Riga, March _ 2012 – TeamLab, the web service for business collaboration, project, document and customer relationship management, launches the application programming interface (API). From now on experienced users and IT developers will be able to import and export necessary data, build applications on top of TeamLab and integrate the tools into customers’ existing programs and services.
Implemented as the representational state transfer (REST) architecture over the HTTP protocol, it processes the standard requests with the GET/POST/PUT/DELETE commands and supports JSON/XML data formats. All the module elements, like posts or comments, have their own URLs and can be requested separately allowing users a flexible choice of features for integration depending on their needs.
Along with that the quick access to larger amounts of data is also possible. If an application needs the ability to retrieve data and make changes to several objects at once, TeamLab API provides a batching option to submit instructions for several operations in a single HTTP request.
Antony Smirnov, Product Development Head, states: "The API launch broadens a spectrum of opportunities our web-service offers. We hope that TeamLab users can adjust it with no difficulty and apply it for a series of purposes including sharing information in the web community, creating widgets for reflecting portal information at users' sites as well as building mobile and desktop applications."
