Born in Stockport, UK Mark has been through many a bleak day. Having fallen into a life of crime as a teen, he has been to hell and back! He has been stabbed, a victim of the streets and the harsh reality of the UKs prison system. Mark also suffers from PTSD and has autism and other mental health demons that he must work with and battle out in his head. He has however, managed to turn his life around and believes his purpose in life is to be able to connect with youngsters and help prevent them from the same path that his short life has taken to date. The UKs law system is a complexed one. The government find it hard to connect with people in Marks situation. Mental health issues as an adult are often overlooked and pushed under the carpet. Many of the men that are inside prisons in the UK suffer from deep rooted trauma and undiagnosed mental health problems, they get captured in a vicious circle. Intervention at an early age can prevent these types of things happening and the cost of locking someone up is much more than rehabilitating and helping them.
