Philadelphia, PA --- Two of Philadelphia’s foremost labor relations and employment law attorneys, Neil A. Morris and Richard R. Morris, have joined Offit Kurman, the fastest-growing law firm not only in Philadelphia, but also throughout the entire mid-Atlantic region. Ted Offit, co-founder and managing principal of the Offit Kurman, made the announcement about the new additions to the firm.

“I am delighted that Neil A. Morris and Richard R. Morris have joined Offit Kurman effective January 1, 2014. Neil and Richard have a substantial and important labor relations and employment law practice. For Offit Kurman, they will continue to represent management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law for privately held businesses and municipalities,” stated Mr. Offit. “Their expertise and experience will add another layer of valuable services that will benefit our already burgeoning client base.”
Neil A. Morris, who will serve as Chairman of the Philadelphia-based Labor and Employment Law Practice of Offit Kurman, has represented employers for more than 25 years, earning a reputation as a highly effective advocate. His specialties include municipal labor law, employment discrimination, defamation and business litigation. He has served as Special Labor Counsel for more than 35 Pennsylvania Townships and Boroughs, serves more Bucks County townships than any other attorney or law firm, as well as many private employers. He is frequently asked to represent municipalities so that he can resolve labor situations that have reached crisis dimensions. He received considerable recognition for winning one of the largest defamation awards in Pennsylvania for one of his business clients. He also has extensive trial and appellate experience arguing appellate cases before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Mississippi Supreme Court. In addition, he has argued cases before various Federal District Courts and the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Third, Fourth and Tenth Circuits and has tried cases in Hawaii, Colorado, and West Virginia.
Richard R. Morris’ practice focuses on public sector labor law and broad-ranging employment litigation for numerous Pennsylvania municipalities in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. He is highly regarded for his representation of management in contract negotiations, grievances, unfair labor practices, and organizational campaigns. He also has significant experience representing local governments in risk management and litigation matters ranging from small claims to complex constitutional issues. He has handled employment based litigation, including discrimination, wrongful discharge, whistle-blower actions, workplace defamation and other tort-based employment claims, individual contract actions and arbitration proceedings, before state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
