Why Are People so Afraid of Women?

The the House of Representatives of the United States of America just resuscitated the Equal Rights Amendment, which would build into the U.S. Constitution
the fact that women have equal rights to men. But why should such an amendment be necessary? Well, what are the reasons that people seek to suppress, or push down another human being? Why would they seek to crush you or hold down your dreams?well, "What exactly are such people trying to do to one? They are trying to reduce one downward. They must conceive that one is dangerous to them in some way: that if one got up in the world, one could be a menace to them." L. Ron Hubbard.

This amendment will give Women's Rights the same stature as freedom of religion, speech and assembly, the right to keep and bear Arms, freedom from self incrimination, along with the rest of the Bill of Rights. The Equal Rights Amendment may now have been ratified by thirty-eight states, the number of states needed
to make it the law of the land for all the USA. It is an interesting process. To add an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, first it is written, and must be passed by both the National House of Representatives and the Senate. Then it goes out to the states, who then get to say if they want it to be added to the U.S. Constitution. It must be agreed to by thirty-eight of the fifty states that make up the United States of America. It is not a process that we undertake lightly.

It is a puzzle that the simplicity of treating others well and fairly needs to be written into law, but it does.
