We Must Still Strive to Overcome 2021 MLK Day

Martin Luther King, thank you! Your words still teach us, and we will succeed.

Today is Martin luther King Day. A day to honor freedom and peace. A day to consider what price must be paid for freedom. MLK paid with his life. It cost his life because so many were so very frightened by the power of his vision and ideas. But the real power came with how he communicated those ideas. His oratory was art. He used the power of aesthetics to deliver a simple, basic message about human rights. He reminded us that we are all members of the human race, and if you believe in God the Father of all of us, then you must expand your love and embrace all of us. The excuses made for anyone's share of oppression must be washed away, and each must help those harmed to rise, by at least getting out of the way. Dr. King created banners with his words that we still carry today. "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that,", he said. "Do not harm a person of goodwill.", said L. Ron Hubbard in The Way To Happiness. www.thewaytohappiness.org
