Our Beautiful Self-Cleaning Planet Needs Help, She Struggles to Survive

Posted July 14, 2020 by stilsonlewis

We are overwhelming the mechanisms of our planet that keep our air, water, and soil clean and productive.

This is our Earth. She is our home, our dwelling. and we invented an entire science called ecology to study all the interrelated systems that create the air, water and soil we need to sustain us. From all these native elements we make all kinds of interesting new chemical combinations. We use these for industry and recreation, and for beauty, of our bodies and our spaces. And sometimes, just because we can. And we do this in more and more volume. Our natural, self-cleaning planet can be overwhelmed by the volume. We have also been destroying some of her scrub brushes, such as the forests.

There is a condition called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity. It is a form of environmental illness. One way it is seen is in the growing sensitivity of individuals to artificial scents. Some people find it difficult to walk through the cosmetics area of a department store, while others are so sensitive that they get headaches and congestion from the perfume samples in a fashion magazine. Of course this goes well beyond scents. One of the ways this started showing up decades ago is how smog affects asthma.

This is an over simplified explanation of this concept, but it needed to be short and sweet and understandable. "Man has reached the potential capacity to destroy the planet. He must be pushed on up to the capability and actions of saving it. It is, after all, what we are standing on.", L. Ron Hubbard. www.thewaytohappiness.org @waytohappinesstampa
