My House Is Clean but Today We Protect, From the Unseen

This word "sanitize" comes from a Latin word meaning health or healthy.

A neat, tidy, dusted and vacuumed house may look like the perfect set from an American 1950s TV show, and you may have even cleaned it wearing high heels
and pearls, but it probably isn't up to todays standards of clean and sanitary. Today we are into sanitizing. This word "sanitize" comes from a Latin word meaning health or healthy. Today a germ we can't see is attacking the health of people all over the world, so we must sanitize. Welcome to Corona Land.

One of the important things yo do is to regularly disinfect the surfaces with which you are regularly in contact. When you take on the task of being aware of each time you touch something it can be quite surprising just how much physical contact we have with the things around us, especially at home. For instance, in the kitchen cooking a simple meal, you will touch spices, pots and pans, counter tops, drawer handles and cabinet pulls, the ingredients used in the meal, plates, cups glasses, measuring items, the things in the drawers or cabinets you have to move to get to the things you want, etc. Yes, the list goes on.

So to start with, washing your hands very thoroughly before beginning is advisable. Then all the surfaces need to be sanitized. Sanitizing removes what can't be seen, but can make you sick, like bacteria and viruses. Some very effective disinfectants are hydrogen peroxide, grain alcohol or isopropyl alcohol , and chlorine bleach. Always read and follow directions. Be sure to sanitize frequently touched areas, such as phones, computers, desk tops table tops and chair arms. You may want to do your cell phones and door knobs more often than other things. And how many of us have thought about sanitizing our cars? This is also a good idea right now.

But more important than this is so simply stated,"Get care when you are ill.", L. Ron Hubbard. That is the bottom line on safeguarding yourself, your family, and everyone else.
