Mandatory use of Facemasks in Tampa Bay Under Discussion

Masks for hygiene are starting to become mandatory in areas where the Coronavirus is starting tories again.

Yesterday, one of the highest county authorities spoke publicly that the use of face masks in Tampa should be mandatory when you are away from home, that is, at work, on the street and wherever you go.  Since the state of Florida leaves the use of masks to personal judgment, it gives you that freedom. Where the social distance, the two meters, is respected, the use of masks can be at the discretion of the individual.  Especially a sick person, out of respect and consideration for other people around her,  should wear a mask to avoid infecting others. This is the natural custom in many Asian countries.  But in the West, isolating yourself with a mask when you are sick , or staying at home so as to not spread the illness, is something that is not rooted in the culture. Usually in Western cultures, it is only when  you are already in extreme conditions or have super obvious manifestations that you are sick and the body is fighting back, that you finally stay home to rest and recover.   Therefore, the increase in cases of Coronavirus after the reopening advanced to phase 2, allowing people to go into work, but with high precautions, seems to show that people are not taking the recommendations seriously. Now it will have to be reconsidered as a case of public health and the public is being ordered to wear masks city by city.  We need to compel the common care of obligatory use of masks to avoid more contagions and stem rise of the Covid 19. “Get care when you are ill. When they are ill, even with communicable diseases, people often do not isolate themselves or seek proper treatment. This, as you can easily see, tends to put you at risk. Insist when someone is ill that he or she takes the proper precautions and gets proper care.” L. Ronald Hubbard www.thewaytohappiness.org @humanrightstampa
