Human kind is all encompassing. On the 75th anniversary of the opening of the gates to the horror that was Auschwitz by Soviet troops we looked to the future with hope. The Ceremony held at the Church of Scientology of Tampa, was opened with the beauty of a song by a renowned Israeli singer, filling the Church with "Somewhere Over a Rainbow". Then an Israeli gentleman spoke the Mourner's Kaddish, with great heart, in English and then in the old Hebrew/Aramaic.

A Scientology Minister offered the Prayer for Total Freedom by founder L. Ron Hubbard. This was followed by a briefing by a Baptist Pastor briefing the crowd about the inclusion of Religious Freedom in the first amendment in the US Bill of Rights. This was followed by a Unity Minister who talked about love and the cohesion of the human race. A refugee from the conflicts and camps in Central Africa told of coming to America for safety and freedom. He is now a Christian Pastor in Pinellas County.

After a reading from the Creed of the Church of Scientology, which states in part, "We of the Church believe: That the study of the mind and the healing of mentally caused ills should not be alienated from religion or condoned in non religious fields; And that no agency less than God has the power to suspend or set aside these rights, overtly or covertly."

The President of the Florida Chapter of Citizen's Commission on Human Rights, talked of continuing abuses in today's world, even in the United States, and most particularly Florida. She told of the "Baker Act", the name of the Florida Law that allows for children to be removed from a place, such as a school, without parental approval or even notification, for involuntary psychiatric examination.

Chinese food was enjoyed, followed by dessert and coffee, while the crowd broke into smaller groups for conversation.
