Freedom of Expression is Vital to our Future

Sometimes it is difficult to experience the ideas that drift our way or are thrown at us, the impact of velocity magnifying harshness.

How are knowledge and wisdom carried into the future? They can be written, drawn, spoken, sung... across quiet spaces or shouted from giant screens in giant stadiums. Some soft expressions travel by flower arrangements. And sometimes very deadly communications are carried in a soft package. Freedom of Expression is Human Right 19 from the Universal Declarations of Human Rights. It is further explained in a publication by Youth for Human Rights that says "We all have the right to make up our own minds, to think what we like, to say what we think, and to share our ideas with other people." This goes for everyone. Sometimes it is difficult to experience the ideas that drift our way or are thrown at us, the impact of velocity magnifying harshness. But still, the other being has the same rights to communicate that we do. The other side of any Right, however is responsibility. If we weave together our future by the communication of our dreams, to bring them into reality,

The artists have long been those who carry us into the future. They imagine how things can be. They paint and compose, sing and write our way into the future. It is inspiration that fires imagination, and this creates what wisdom we have that will be carried forward. If you have read the Declaration of Independence, then you must witness the poet's voice. L. Ron Hubbard said, "A culture is only as great as its dreams, and its dreams are dreamed by artists." I think this is so. [email protected] United for Human Rights
