There is change afoot; a deep kind of rearrangement is taking place. I have a friend, who for all the years that I have known her has held white collar jobs, worked in the not for profit sector leading symposiums, been a job coach and head hunter, and is now driving a truck. Yes, my petite, pretty friend is the captain of an eighteen wheeler, OMG! And she is loving it. It is like she has come back to life. The amount of communication she shares with the world, which had been like a waterfall of encouragement, had dried down to a trickle during her last corporate job. Now she is at Victoria Falls level. And she is happy in her essence.
There are thousands and more similar stories out there. Some could have a deeper impact on the pink collar and white collar worlds. All those executives and support staff have found that they do not need to commute to a desk in order to be creative or productive. There are freedoms found in the lockdown. There have been channels created for contribution and the building of society outside of what was the usual. There are men in greater numbers than ever that have fallen in love with taking care of their children. They may not want to give it up that quickly.
The important thing is to make sure we have options. This entails health. Please use a face covering an d gloves. Remember to wash your hands frequently and well. And distancing while out and about is still a good idea. And do yourself and the rest of us a favor and "Get care when you are ill.", L. Ron Hubbard www.thewaytohappiness.org @waytohappinesstampa
