First, now several additional import sources and file types that may be used to create PDF pages are available. Secondly, more commands have been added to the PDF viewer component. Additional features are a media player API, more event models in documents or form fields and enhancements with regard to security settings (encryption) and certificates. Finally yet importantly, the PDF Xpansion SDK 10 now enables software developers to add ZUGFeRD support to their applications. The ZUGFeRD format is a standard that makes it possible to use PDF files in electronic invoicing and billing processes, see the ZUGFeRD website for details.

With the PDF Xpansion SDK 10 functionality implemented, end users do not need any extra programs to create, edit and view PDF or XPS files with their Windows desktop programs, server solutions or apps for mobile devices with ARM architecture and Windows RT. The prices for the components of the PDF Xpansion SDK 10 are based on lump sum fees that grant a permanent license. Prices are neither dependent on the amount of copies of the application, nor on the number of developers. Optionally, customers may sign a maintenance contract with a minimum term of one year. This contract entitles the clients to download version updates free and to get extensive product support.

OPERATING SYSTEMS
The PDF Xpansion SDK 10 has been developed for applications that run on Windows 8.x, RT, Phone 8.x and Server 2012 (32 bit, 64 bit and ARM platforms). The SDK also supports Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 with installed platform update. Using the SDK with applications on Windows Vista, XP and Server 2008 is possible, but with these operating systems, restrictions apply for some SDK features. Potential clients who plan to use the SDK with Windows Vista, XP and Server 2008 will therefore be provided advice with regard to the functionality they need and their specific scope.
