Set reasonable goals. Always determine the amount of muscles you would like to add in the coming months and years, once you have determined what you want to achieve in a year, allocate those gains to be achieved proportionately over that period.

 
Commitment. With no commitment, you will be disappointed easily. If you do not understand the details of the program that you are joining, it is not possible to commit yourself. So ensure that you do complete research of the program that you are interested in and understand each and every detail, purpose, and the expected results of the program. If you do not understand any of the features of the program, make certain you contact the director of the program. Commitment also means sticking to the program that you have chosen. Do not simply try for awhile and then quit, but rather commit yourself and stick to the program in order to progress.

Education. You should understand how training works and its benefits. If you cannot explain the subject to those who want to know how to transform their bodies, then you do not know about the subject. The right thing to do is buy a book from well informed, recognized professionals and learn about training, nutrition, and recovery. You may also educate yourself online. If you can become educated about bodybuilding, you will make better decisions for yourself and for those who ask for advice.
