This week Shoot My Travel, the photography marketplace that connects users with professional photographers worldwide, announced they are now offering 30-minute virtual photoshoots for clients in the comfort of their own home. Customers will meet with their personal photographer over FaceTime or Zoom, scout out the best photo ops in the client’s home or garden, then get their phone or computer set up. Finally, the photographer will work their magic, taking photographs through their computer screen! The customer comes away with 20 edited photos of themselves and family members without ever breaking isolation!

This is just the next in a series of creative concepts put out by the innovative team at Shoot My Travel during this unprecedented time. The team has not let this pandemic stop them from providing services, using it instead as an opportunity to focus on the importance of memories, hope, and human connection. They’ve hosted live sessions with their photographers around the world, running a #photographerathome photo series on Instagram, while continuing to supply virtual travel inspiration to clients via their blog. Virtual travel shoots are just the next natural progression. With them Shoot My Travel has found a way to help clients keep making the memories that will get them through this challenging time.

Valerie Lopez, CEO and co-founder of Shoot My Travel, will serve as one of the primary photographers on this project. “This is a unique experience,” she says. “Yes, the shoot is through a screen, but it’s very special. It gives the photographs an amazing grainy vintage feel, like you might get from an old-time camera. And for both photographer and client it’s a really cool experience because only the photographer can see what’s happening, so it feels like an old school, film set, but through the digital medium.”

Positive reviews of the Shoot My Travel’s virtual photo shoots are already flowing in. Earlier this week, using her Sony Alpha 7R, Valerie did a maternity shoot via FaceTime of Natalie, Harold, little Sofia, and baby Nico (on the way!). Natalie says: When Harold first told me about the photo shoot, I kept asking him how it’s going to work since it’s virtual and I wasn’t sure how the photographs would come out. But when I saw the results I was so happy. We all thought it was a super fun experience! And we loved Valerie telling us how and where to pose. It’s something we had never seen be done and we’re so glad we got to be a part of it!”

If you want to get in on this new innovative virtual photo shoot to mark your time during this historic event, all you need is a good Wifi connection, a phone or computer, and the Shoot My Travel team will help with the rest. More information about these photo shoots, as well as all the photo shoot packages, 500+ destinations, and current discounts Shoot My Travel offers can be found at their website.
