Though MBA and Executive MBA programs share equal utility on graduation and cover similar core information material there exists a lot of confusion between the two and misconception seeps its way in. Both the programs can be offered by a single institution. Any student who wants to step their foot in the wide landscape of management should look for the best MBA colleges in India.

The core differences between MBA and EMBA
As mentioned before both the courses cover a similar curriculum but what separates them is their objectives and how they dispatch the course knowledge.

MBA is a full-time program that translates to a proper student experience, requiring you to attend college, a full day schedule, various co-curricular opportunities, etc. Executive MBA on the other hand is for professionals who have to balance between their job/professional lives and take classes on weekends. An EMBA student’s life will not be as ‘happening’ as MBA students’.

The requirement is not major for getting into an MBA program as the focus is on the entrance exam scores. Executive MBAs are for professionals who have experience of 5+ years (depending on the college, some colleges require 10+ years of experience). It is comparatively difficult to get into an Executive MBA program due to limited slots and extensive work experience requirements.

For an MBA program, the cost is dependent on the reputation of the B-school and can range between 15-20 lacs. When we look into EMBA, the fees are paid by the employer of the student as they are also reaping the benefits of newly learned knowledge and skills of the managers. Even in EMBA, the cost depends on the reputation of the institution and range from 1 lac-10lacs.

The duration for the MBA program is 2 years while for EMBA it ranges between 1-3 years depending on the institution. You should go for an EBMA if your circumstances and career requirements fall in the above-mentioned criteria. One should always aim for the best places to study and enhance their career growth and apply for an EMBA in any top MBA colleges in India.
