“Anything that’s wild as hell, I love it!” says Casey Bishop-Yeakey stating clearly the bounds (or lack thereof) of what she likes in outdoor activities. Casey has always been keenly interested in adventures and extreme sports, so much so that she calls herself an “adrenaline junkie.” She loves breakaway-roping, horseback riding on the family ranch, helicopter shooting, trap/skeet shooting, snowboarding, wakeboarding, backroads exploring with the windows down, traveling off the beaten path, and is always seeking the next adventure. Casey is also Tennis Pro , having played tennis as a professional and for a living her connections with the tennis circuit are deep.
The other major interest of hers is fashion, especially western-country fashion. But she always found sunglasses to have a flaw. In her own words, “every time, whether I was galloping through the hills or playing tennis, any pair of sunglasses I wore would fall off my face!” Since she spends most of her time outdoors involved in wild adventures or extreme sports, she wasn’t able to add sunglasses to her outfit or to protect her eyes from the sun, for that matter. This is inspired to her make her own edgy shades that would stay on no matter how wild her outdoor activities get.
In 2017, Casey founded American Bonfire Co., a company that makes sunglasses for people who love the outdoors. The brand is focused on the western-country niche and offers shades designed to go well with country fashion. But the primary promise of American Bonfire is to offer edgy, fashionable shades that stay on during outdoor activities. American Bonfire shades are meant for sportspeople, people who like rodeo, people who love cowboys and cowgirls, Yellowstone, and the American cowboy fashion in general. As the brands slogan says, “Stays on for the ride”, American Bonfire brings fashion into extreme sports and country culture, allowing people to wear edgy shades that do not fall during outdoor activities.
American Bonfire has been seen to be worn by some of the most popular country musicians and public figures, including Brittany and Jason Aldean, Jewel, Kelsea Ballerini, Cam (singer), Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, Carrey Underwood, Jaden Michaels, Kristy Lee Cook, Chuck Wicks, Bonner Bolton, Summer and Jon Pardi, RaeLynn, Lady A (formerly known as Lady Antebellum), Dee Jay Silver, Holly Stocks, and World Champion barrel racer, Fallon Taylor. It has also been seen on Live in the Vineyard, 2020, on the set of Yellowstone (Netflix), and on Miss Rodeo USA.
