Santiago Precious Metals have installed an on-site COVID-19 testing laboratory at Valle de las Estrellas to conduct tests for employees using nasopharyngeal swabs and all employees will be tested on arrival and before leaving to return home from the Valle de las Estrellas site.

Santiago Precious Metals Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Francisco Joaquin Montero commented on the new testing rule saying “We will keep a 14-day record of employees travelling to the mine, including temperature checks, and physical distancing. We will have medical screening facilities along with daily temperature testing at the site.”

“Our on-site testing will add an extra layer to the precautionary measures taken for all the workers at Valle de las Estrellas and we are committed to doing everything we can to protect our employees and the local communities. We will continue to follow all government rules and regulations to ensure that we operate safely and maintain the significant contribution we make to communities in the region,” added Francisco Joaquin Montero, Chief Operations Officer of Santiago Precious Metals.
