The government of Argentina have imposed strict rules in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and stated that the new safety rules will come into effect from 1st October 2020.

Santiago Precious Metals’ Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Francisco Joaquin Montero commented on the mining operations in Argentina saying “We are extremely excited to be getting back to work in Argentina. Our mining project located in San Antonio de los Cobres will be operating at minimum production capacity in order to comply with Argentina’s safe working guidelines.”

We are here to sustain the appropriate safety and environmental systems, and to gradually get back to running at full capacity and try to have a good last production quarter,” added Francisco Joaquin Montero, Chief Operations Officer of Santiago Precious Metals.
