In the last four decades of its existence, Jumac has always been committed to change. It has tried its best to transform the organisation, embraced change and meet the fast- growing demand for innovation in the spinning can industry. Its growth story has several hallmarks to establish how rapidly it has moved in this direction to steer the organisation to the pinnacle of success.

Jumac Manufacturing was incorporated to manufacture fibre can for the jute industry in 1973. In just a year, it ventured into the aluminum can manufacturing as per the new demand of the industry. Its agility to respond to the changing preference of the industry came to the forefront in the early years of its existence.

In 1988, another big change hit the industry. This led to the diversification into HDPE sliver can production for the textile industry. What was ushered in decades ago still remains in place but with superior quality.

As the idea of change became intrinsic to Jumac, it began to manufacture Baxter flyers and Wharve body in 1995. This decade saw economic liberalization and it opened new opportunities for growth and expansion for Jumac. 1999 witnessed the export of Jumac spinning cans to Bangladesh, South Africa, and Egypt. By the turn of the century, Jumac had taken a sharp turn and spread itself on the global map. With fast growth, Jumac had to make its presence felt. In 2000, Jumac participated in ITME Bombay for the first time. Since then, the trend has continued and now Jumac participates in many exhibitions and industry meets across the world where its spinning cans command a significant market size.

With technological innovation gaining traction, Jumac made a wise decision. In 2011, it became a fully integrated unit with an end to end in-house manufacturing. This strengthened its capacity to serve customers better and exercise full control over quality standards and also achieve better cost control. New markets such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Pakistan, and Turkey were explored.

2015 witnessed the launch of 1200 mm dia HDPE can. This was the new need of the industry and Jumac came up with this option to cater to the growing demand. In 2016, Jumac appeared in a new avatar with the launch of multiplying sliver can. This illustrates how Jumac has always focused on change for dynamic growth.
