As we are all coping with the new normal of today’s time, we get to experience virtual concerts of Dhwani band on Facebook live. Not that it’s a brand new concept but a fundraising online concert is surely something we have hardly heard of. We are all trying to smile the adversities away but is the situation the same for everyone? This pandemic has impacted people globally yet we must admit the experiences have not been the same for all.

Salam India would not happen without the humble association of ‘Ek Packet Umeed’, a volunteer organisation and Trioka Entertainment. Dhwani took the opportunity to contribute in executing this innovative idea, entertaining the audience through a virtual concert. It is not only a melodious message of positivity also all proceeds from the event were meant for charity, to put a smile on those faces who have been trying hard standing in the frontline providing service, relief and care to the society.

The entire concert was much thought provoking and engaging during this difficult time. It has highly motivated people to stand firmly against all the odds and supported those people who need much compassion and assurance of hope right now. This concert featured some of the distinguished doctors of the country sharing their experiences with patients and health advice with all.

The concert was aired via Facebook Live platform on Saturday, May 16, 2020. That one hour, Dhwani singers devoted themselves in elevating the spirit of our citizens, motivating all to fight together and win over all difficulties. The entire concert has been very engaging and informative. All the organisers were overwhelmed by the response.

Dhwani, as a band performed for the love they receive from the audience and has always been represented with grandeur and glamour. Through this non-profit initiative, they did not only contribute their part to make the current situation better, but also made us realise it is not always about glamour, lights and live performance. It is about responding and being supportive towards the need of the hour too.

Easy payment options were open for audiences. We received generous contributions from all over the country. More than which, this initiative received appreciation and motivation to move forward with more such innovative ideas in coming days. There is no better joy in comforting, in caring others and making people realise that “We are in this together.”

As wedding singers, Dhwani band has performed in functions of different genres, sangeet and even corporate shows. Those power-packed, magnificent performances of Dhwani still make the audiences remember the good memories associated with them. Their soulful voices and unique singing styles are beyond appreciation. After performing at this new innovative concert, Dhwani will be introduced to the mass with more respect and with more glory of course. It was the nicest gesture amidst all the negativity around.
