2018:  The event was an opportunity of a lifetime. The event
was a blessing for the group of artists chosen to perform live in front of the most
distinguished crowd. The soil was foreign. But the soul was Indian. Dhwani music
group rocked the stage while welcoming the Indian PM
at Independence grounds, Kampala, Uganda on July 24 this year.
 
Prestigious show
 
Expressing unbridled happiness, the members of the music group thanked the
upbeat and excited audiences in Uganda: “We were greatly touched by the
warm, hospitable welcome and the genuine respect from Indian people settled
there. True, music binds us all at the deepest level and all our differences simply
disappear. We cherish every moment of our Africa tour. We are proud to have
this privilege early in our music career. Undoubtedly, it has been one of our most
prestigious performances ever!”   
 
Home-like crowd
 
It just felt like being in the home country – with the massive crowds responding to
the soulful rendition of Bollywood numbers with tons of enthusiasm. Navin, a lead
performer of Dhwani music group echoed, “Not even for a moment we felt like
visitors to a foreign country. The atmosphere was so home-like that we felt we
were performing in an Indian city.”   

 
Sarita, a female lead member of the Dhwani group said, “We have performed in
so many countries abroad and the response has been overwhelming. But this
was something really out of this world. We were stunned to find them so charged
and excited about our music show. The fact that we were performing to welcome
the Indian PM made it all the more captivating. There was something magical in
the air.”  
 
Enchanting patriotic numbers
 
The focus of the music band was sharp – on the repertoire of patriotic and
nationalist songs. The crowds just loved the magic created with Bollywood
tracks. There were several members in the audience asking for more such
stimulating stuff. It is so heartwarming that nobody wanted the show to come to
an end.  
 
Lifetime chance
 
Dhwani group got the chance to perform on the invitation from NAMO
Community Forum that made all arrangements in Africa. Being chosen by them
is a great honour and the group has been on cloud nine since then. All Indian
communities came together to participate in the musical extravaganza that
blended nationalism and Indian music. It created history and will be remembered
for years as one of the best Bollywood music performances in Africa. 
 

Although there have been industry giants who went there earlier, the kind of
response generated was unprecedented this time – surpassed the expectations
of Dhwani music band.     
 
Being chosen over so many other music groups because of their team spirit,
soulful voice quality, wonderful chemistry and the rare ability to connect with
large audiences, Dhwani hit the right notes and made the diverse audiences feel
the same love and passion for music while they performed on stage.
