There are two types of stitches which is used in embroidery are

• Flat stitches include Taipachi is most common, simplest and cheapest stich and stitches are done parallel and used to fill floral motif. Pechni is done keeping taipachi as a base and embroidery is further continued and like taipachi it is also done on the right side. Pashni is first outlined by taipachi and then with the help of two threads vertical satin stitches are used. Bakhia is of two types- seedha and ulta bakhia and is basically a shadow work. Kathao include cutwork with chickan work. Gitti is the wheel like motif made with satin stitch. Jangira is kind of chain stitch used to make taipachi further.

• Embossed stitches is bolder than flat stitches. Some of the embossed stitches are murri is very small satin stitched which is done on outlined taipachi stitch. Phanda requires more efforts while doing embroidery. It is short version of murri and include spherical shaped knots. Pechni is the embroidery done.
