Thoughtfully Al Hajri provided his calligraphy art in this exhibition so that most vertical letters are lined in a way to provide in order to bring rich and renewable visual representations. Thus the painting as a whole appears as an integrated, harmonious and coherent artwork. These artworks provide new concepts and contrary definitions to the most common shapes in Arabic calligraphy, through experimentation in a new world that is filled with choices, color relationships and new shapes. Thus confirming the need for experimentation process to bring life according to a new artistic vision and philosophy of beauty that takes experimentation as basis for it. At first the relying was intensive on the organization of the letters and relationships with spontaneity and simplicity in the organization of items.
Or as “Brent rocha” sees that " art is an expression or expressive language in which the artist through this creative process provide new and different thing from reality even if it emerge from it in most cases.". Al Hajri artworks tend to "stenography, and giving the design processing of the surface on the artwork, the first priority in visual and fine art vision" (al-Husseini, 2013). The beauty lies in this regard that the receiver "reread the Arabic painting with the contemporary vision, make them closer to the painting designs" (al-Husseini, 2013).
Some abstract artworks took the direction of expressive and influential trend. As for the themes of paintings, there were a variety of themes like the Omani historical motives. As well as he recalls the memories of the village in a romantic sense and visualized the palm trees and old houses.
And then the philosophical and aesthetic vision of the Al Hajri has become deeper and more reflective and therefore getting more meanings and visual symbols with direct and indirect indications. This was clear from description mentioned by al-Husseini (2013) when he said: "When the letters are naturally repeated as the product for (Mashaq) calligrapher, he is transferring all its aesthetic properties into another area linked to the rhythm.
There is no doubt that working as an assistant professor of art and design, and scientific research has supported Al Hajri to look for a contemporary western experiences that in a way or another influenced the philosophical and conceptual thought on the concept of art to him. Al Hajri practiced doing abstract and expressive art, and he was greatly influenced by the work of both, the artist "Paul Klee" and artist "Kandinsky". As many studies have confirmed that all art is an expressive language”.
Al Hajri presented his own personal experience in fine art with new contemporary vision and new styles that is distinguished by its simplicity and the influential ability. There is diversity in artworks provided by Al Hajri in this exhibition. In addition to calligraphy artworks that he practiced for more than 10 years, there are fifteen artworks about abstract, 5 work in graphic design, 3 oil painting artworks, as well as two works carried out by Al Hajri done in contemporary techniques which is by phone and iPad drawings. Al Hajri is known by his ability to use various trends of fine arts like expressive, digital, and contemporary art. During the last period, he was known by his promoting of digital art. He presented lectures in this area and wrote some articles about this new digital art. Calligraphy artworks that is presented by Al Hajri in this exhibition shows his art practice during the last ten years. As a researcher and developer who look for new creations, he was able to develop his own approach and style.
Al Hajri builds his paintings away from the compacting of letters and representing them as if they are only forms, but the process of construction is done with thinking and mediation for building and distributing the blocks in order to reach multiple and renewable meanings. In this sense, Husseini confirmed (2013) on this value, saying: "The experience of Arabic writing and passion sufism With fruitful respect for the modern science, and the contemporary techniques that strengthen faith, and remove all doubt in this world and its mortal time, writing or calligraphy is a spiritual luxurious that comes from deep and pure soul. In this sense, practice is a creative activity, for meditation and expression that seeks to break the inherited artistic traditions, and with conscious spirit that employs letters in order to achieve spiritual, functional aesthetic dimensions.
