Cape Hatteras looking for the prize Marlin

It is extraordinary when the stars line up and the right things happen with the right people on a fishing mission, the right captain and the moon is full.

Arriving through Newport and renting a car was the easy part. Finding the right captain was an experience in faith and vision.

The Hatteras 68' was a given, however, would one be available at such short notice? We found cabins along the sandbars towards the end of the Hatteras Peninsula.

Captain "John" made Sac Narwal quite happy with his stories and personality.
John made a point of going through the coordinates that we would be exploring and why.

Ultimately, we totally nailed the right boat and crew. Out on the water, they both performed in concert - one that was in tune and ready for action.

Caught some dolphin fish before hitting a screamingly resistant Marlin, that well- did not want out of the water and into the boat.
The big prize was so big that it took 4 grown men to pull 'er over and onto the deck.
