This week sees the release of some changes and improvements to RS Mining and Smithing. Read the information below to learn details of these changes.

Changes to RS Mining on Stamina

RS Mining has become more reliant on Stamina with the update on February 3rd. Before the update players dealt 80% "damage" to the rock they are mining, and this value is changed to 20% after this update. Stamina can still be restored by starting to mine the rock again, or by consuming a stone spirit while under the effects of a Perfect Juju Mining Potion.
Rocks that don’t reduce Stamina (like red sandstone and Arc crablets) are unaffected by this update. Moreover, the "HP" of Seren stones has been increased to 2,000. Mining them will no longer consume Stamina. To keep track of your Stamina, players can try enabling the Stamina Bar in the Mining section of the Gameplay Settings menu.

Improvements made to RS Smithing

Some improvements have been made to the way smithable items disassemble into components for Invention. With the update, each bar used to smith an item will be worth four Invention parts or components when players break it down. Additionally, elder rune equipment currently has a higher chance of breaking down into components instead of parts.
