The animal advocacy movement has significantly progressed in the recent couple of years, thanks of animal activists like Phil Lovin and many others who have been actively fighting for animal rights. According to Phil, animal welfare calls for as much attention of the world as other crucial issues it is fighting for, such as - gender equality, tolerance, ethical issues in AI (Artificial Intelligence), pollution, child education, etc.
Given below are the five freedom needs of animals that Phil Lovin fights for and also encourages others to keep in mind in order to become responsible pet owners or animal activists.
1. Freedom from hunger and thirst (food and water)
2. Freedom from discomfort (shelter)
3. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease (medical care)
4. Freedom to express normal behavior (exercise)
5. Freedom from fear and distress (love, compassion, and understanding)
