Rodolfo Michel initially didn’t have dreams of becoming a photographer. He instead wanted to be a zoologist. After a couple years of pursuing that endeavor, Rodolfo Michel knew it wasn’t for him. With an artist’s heart and way of looking at life, Rodolfo Michel turned his attention to photography, becoming an assistant to a fashion photographer. It was there that Rodolfo Michel learned the old-school way of photography, spending countless hours in a darkroom. He devoted his time and efforts to printing, perfecting, and experimenting with photography while developing his own view of the world.

Through his own artistic exploration, Rodolfo Michel discovered a love for sculpture and architecture. He believes that, “when a person is a true artist, they have a deep appreciation for all artistic fields.” Some of Rodolfo Michel’s favorite pieces are his photographic emulsions, where he has the opportunity to experiment with exposure and images. Rodolfo Michel recently created a series of bronze sculptures, including chess pieces with a leather bound chessboard. Likewise, Rodolfo Michel continues to work on photographic portraits for individual clients and has compiled photographs of various cities for postcards.
