Liberal, KS - National Carriers is pleased to announce Safety and Compliance Director, Jill Maschmeier has been named 2016 Safety Professional of the Year by the Kansas Motor Carrier Association. Maschmeier joined National Carriers in 2000.

KMCA released this statement: The Safety Management Council continues a program to recognize exemplary effort demonstrated by a safety professional. Company safety directors have the responsibility of balancing company operational objectives while overseeing our professional driver corps and encouraging and modeling a safety culture. Among the nominating criteria for the safety professional of the year are:

Success in advancing highway and industrial safety in the fleet,
Relationship and cooperation with government officials,
And, methods of meeting and solving safety problems facing the nominee’s fleet.

As always, the competition was very tight between the nominees. In selecting the 2016 Safety
Professional of the Year, the judges were particularly impressed with the dedication of our
honoree because of the numerous examples of a positive attitude and a tireless dedication to
highway safety. This is what the nominator said of our honoree:
The nominee’s dedication is unparalleled. This person is totally committed to Safety not only for our company but for the motoring public as well. In my role as a Risk Consultant I am fortunate to interact with many fleet Safety Directors and there are few who can match the nominee’s focus, work ethic and stamina.
