Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fitch: Grabbing Hold of Happiness

Posted November 12, 2014 by pzmediainc2

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fitch has found herself in life through her photography and passion for the outdoors.

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fitch, just like everyone in life, found the process of growing up to be a daunting prospect. As a child, one always sees adults and their elders as people who just seem to know what they are doing in life. It isn’t until one is forced to acknowledge and make big decisions about the direction they want to go in life that one must dig deep into their hearts and decide what is truly important in life. Crossroads in life are never easy; you go one way and your life becomes this, you go another way and your life becomes something else entirely.

After graduating college in Denver, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fitch had no idea what she was going to do next, like most other college graduates. Being college-educated is a great thing, if you can find a job afterward. Her degree in journalism lingered over her head, imposing itself on every thought and action she would take in the next year or two. Half-expecting a job to just land in her lap, she spent a couple of years just enjoying being out of school. But when reality grabbed her by the legs and pulled her back into the actuality of life, she knew that she had to devote some time to figuring out what she wanted out of life.

She had been obsessed with photography since she was a young girl. Having grown up in Telluride, Colorado, her photography portfolio was chalked full of beautiful mountain pictures, documenting the undisturbed beauty of the snow-covered trees and forests, and in the Fall, the bright reds and yellows that seemed to be straight out of a fairytale. Photography had always been a passion of hers, but she never thought that in today’s job market she would able to find enough work to make a decent living.

Kaitlyn Elizabeth Fitch decided to take a leap of faith and applied for a position with an outdoor adventure magazine; a month later she found herself snowshoeing through the backcountry of Telluride Ski Resort, snapping pictures of the snow-covered trees and mountain landscapes. She had found herself finally.
