Tarek Kalil Musa founded TKXPORT in 2004. The company, based in Gambia, works primarily with China to import construction materials, heavy machinery, and spare parts, as well as some food products. Those materials are then exported to various countries in Africa. TKXPORT is Tarek Kalil Musa’s second company. The entrepreneur founded his first company in 1989, an automobile manufacturer representation firm called TKMOTORS. TKMOTORS has gained substantial recognition, giving Tarek Kalil Musa the clout to launch a very different, but also very successful second business. With TKXPORT marking 10 years, it seems safe to say that Tarek Kalil Musa is a model entrepreneur whose successes should inspire others to follow their passions.

As 2013 draws to a close, Tarek Kalil Musa and his team are working hard to finish those first 10 years on a high note. “We’ve charted growth every year that we’ve been in business, but if we can mark the biggest increase in market share yet for our 10th anniversary, that would be monumental,” says Tarek Kalil Musa.
