Leaders are born, not made, at least that’s what they say. Swathi Dinnae believes that both are true, however. For as long as she can remember, the 28-year-old professional has been told that she has the characteristics of a natural leader: organizational skills, motivational skills, and the capacity to inspire others to better things than they would be capable of on their own. And in order to hone that innate ability, Swathi Dinnae has decided to enroll in a leadership seminar this fall.

The leadership course will tackle topics of leadership in the workplace, a relevant discussion for Swathi Dinnae, who works as a business intelligence software developer using IBM Cognos and Oracle BI. In the end she believes it will be beneficial to learn how others go about preparing to lead, to gain tips and also observe different styles in the hopes that she will be able to tailor her own style to maximum efficiency. After the course Swathi Dinnae expects to be ready for a more advanced leadership role within her company’s organizational structure.

Swathi Dinnae has always been a leader, and believes that a great leader never considers him or herself beyond reproach or infallible. She hopes that the seminar will enable her to achieve new heights in her own leadership, and by this example to lead her coworkers to new heights of achievement as well. “I know I am not perfect myself, and I believe that is what makes me the kind of leader people can relate to and feel comfortable with in the leadership role,” says Swathi Dinnae.

“I do tend to be thrust into a leadership role in whatever situation I find myself,” Swathi Dinnae was quoted as saying. “Perhaps it does have something to do with my nature. I believe this course will be a great opportunity for me to hone my skills, to advance my own knowledge and to help myself become the best leader – and best overall person – I can be.”

Although young, Swathi Dinnae already has all the hallmarks of future greatness in leadership, and her future is certainly bright.
