During his time at Walters State Community College, Samuel Stuetz had the opportunity to enter into courses dedicated to basic law enforcement education. These classes, taken over an eight-week period of time, educate students on the basics of law enforcement within the community. Samuel Stuetz took the course in order to gain eligibility to work in law enforcement agencies across the state of Tennessee. Life in the program was grueling for Samuel Stuetz, as he had to start his day before 6AM and work hard until nearly 10PM each day. Samuel Stuetz knew, however, that his hard work would pay off in the end, and was determined to make the most of his time in the academy.

While enrolled in the law enforcement education program, Samuel Stuetz distinguished himself from the rest of his classmates by virtue of his courage and cool head in high pressure situations. Classmates and instructors alike grew to appreciate Samuel Stuetz's ability to think quickly and analytically when faced with hard decisions. Samuel Stuetz's cool head helped him immensely as he faced the final exams of the program. Upon graduating from the program, Samuel Stuetz was given the award for outstanding courage and determination. This award, given to an individual from each class, is meant to recognize the person in the class who performed the best in difficult and stressful situations. Samuel Stuetz's nomination for the award indicated his excellent performance in the course.

When asked about the award, Samuel Stuetz remained humble: “I really think that anyone in the class could be given this award,” Samuel Stuetz explained. “I know that it is a difficult program, and that anyone who is able to complete it is incredibly brave and determined.”

Samuel Stuetz hopes that his courage and determination does not desert him as he moves into the next stage of his life, and Samuel Stuetz knows that these characteristics will have much to do with his success. Future employers will be happy to see Samuel Stuetz's hard-working nature and determination in the face of challenges. Samuel Stuetz will make a great addition to any team faced with difficult projects.
