Roger Pollock: A True Philanthropist

Roger Pollock is an accomplished entrepreneur who has contributed a lot to charities all around the world.

Roger Pollock's success in the business world has inevitably allowed him to accrue a level of wealth that most people will never have. With this wealth though, Roger knows that it is important to give back, especially to those who have been less fortunate throughout their lives than Roger has. Roger believes that the true signifier of success is not how much money you've made, but how much of a positive impact you have had on the community around you, and the world at large.

That is why Roger devotes much of his time and hard earned money to programs designed to help those in need. Roger even helped found his own charity, the Profit Partners. The Profit Partners was a program consisting of several local, non-profit organizations that would receive a profit sharing check for each home sold by Buena Vista Custom Homes, a real estate and home building business that Roger also founded and still manages today. This Profit Partners program not only encourages people to buy homes, something they were likely to do anyway, it also aids the community with every sale, helping to make Oregon a richer community, both in finance and spirit. To this day, Profit Partners has given more than one million dollars to charity. Roger Pollock says that through Profit Partners, he wanted to make a difference to society and the communities in which it builds, as well as in the lives of people who could use a helping hand.

Roger Pollock says that he owes a large portion of his success in the business world to his own education in the field of economics and all the responsibilities and knowledge required to be a successful entrepreneur. Through his own experiences, Roger has come to realize the real importance of education, and that it will often be the predictor of success for the next generations. That is why Roger has turned an interested eye to the future of the American education system, and has made considerable contributions to several groups that foster the growth and development of youth both in his community, and communities across the nation. One of Roger's main contributions go to the Ronald Mcdonald House, a non-profit organization that pays the medical and housing expenses of treatments to children who have to undergo long or intense operations. Some of these child patients are afflicted with things like cancer or epilepsy. Roger also contributes to other youth based organizations such as the YMCA, which provides housing for indigent independent adolescents, and the Boys and Girls Club, a group that provides an active community of peers and mentors who spend time and grow together to help foster and assure good development of morals and a sense of community. Roger also contributes to the St. Mary's Home for Boys, Come Rest Awhile, Community Action, and several other youth based groups that help provide nurturing environments for the less fortunate young.
