Richard Greco Jr. earned recognition in the Archdiocese of New York for his work as the founder and president of Montfort Academy, a Catholic high school that teaches classical Catholic curriculum.

Richard Greco Jr. is the Managing Partner of the international financial company Filangieri Capital Partners and has served many years working for the government and private sector firms. In 1998, Greco decided to try to give high school students in his community an excellent Catholic education by founding the Montfort Academy in Mount Vernon, New York. Greco is still the president of the board of the school, which boasts a 100% graduation rate and provides students with excellent classes in Greek, Latin, civics, geography, religion, and philosophy while preparing students to excel at every level of education and professional engagement they arrive at after their time at Montfort. He recently won recognition for his excellent governance of one of the most prestigious private high schools in upstate New York.

Richard Greco Jr. has had a long and distinguished career in the United States government and in the private sector. He was the Chief Financial Officer of the United States Navy, as appointed by President George W. Bush in 2004. For three years he managed a $130 billion budget as the US Navy and US Marine Corps engaged in operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia.

Richard Greco Jr. was an excellent student himself, earning a full academic scholarship to Fordham University after graduating first in his class from Pelham Memorial High School. He was the class valedictorian at Fordham and earned two graduate degrees, one in International Economics, and American Foreign Policy at Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Richard Greco Jr. knows the importance of a good education. For the smartest and most tenacious of students, the sky’s the limit if they can get the best educational resources available. Much like himself, Greco sees the students at Montfort as the best of the best in terms of high school achievement. Greco wants all of the students at Montfort to have the same opportunities that he had. What the students do with those opportunities is up to them, but at the very least, Greco wants his students to have the same access he had to an excellent education.
