The efforts of house developer, Randall Palazzo, made systematically growing the prosperity of Portland neighborhoods a reality.

It is a constant struggle between the population of a city and the city itself to find an equilibrium for prosperity and growth. Location and commercial success, job opportunity and local government all play roles in the variables that cause people to move to and from an area. Many real estate experts spend much of their lives discovering ways to turn their market around, attracting new buyers into their area with an approach that works over time. Many realtors never find this answer, but one Portland realtor has. Randall Palazzo discovered the answer just out of college, and through his system was found a method that can turn poverty-stricken areas into true neighborhoods.

His journey began with the purchase of just a couple of run down pieces of property in the inner northeast area of Portland, Oregon. His deep interest in architecture and Greek architecture gave him the inspiration to flip these houses, selling them successfully and giving him the opportunity to purchase more properties in the neighborhood. His flipping in this part of town was being met with success, and Randall quickly noticed that not only was his real estate company growing, but so was the neighborhood he was servicing. With this in mind, Randall Palazzo found a strategy that would capture and cultivate this growth.

Copyrighting 30 different vintage-style home building plans for his neighborhood, he set out to develop the remaining homes in the neighborhood in complementary ways, giving more space and more vibrancy for people to move in. This worked to engage the community as a brand, completely transforming the neighborhood into a completely different area than it was before. Palazzo did the impossible by creating a system that not only made his houses successfully sell, but also turned his entire neighborhood around. Using his vintage-style idea, he gave the place a neighborhood-wide brand that worked together to call buyers into that part of the city. The idea was fool-proof, and for his efforts and passions, Randall was recognized as the number one home developer in Portland for three consecutive years, from 2008 to 2010.
