Starting college can be an intimidating time for incoming freshman, but it is important to persevere through the hardships. Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University hopes to offer useful advice to new college students so they can start their college career strong. Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University is a senior at his school and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a focus on Accounting and Real Estate Capital Markets. As a fourth year student, Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University hopes to speak out about his college experience to help guide undergraduates through this transitional time.

Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University has led an exceedingly successful academic career that anyone could admire. Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University is the founder and President of the PSU Parkinson’s Foundation, which is an organization to raise awareness and funds for research of Parkinson’s at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Additionally, Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University is the co-founder of the Penn State Financial Modeling Association.

Recently, Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University spoke out about his college career in hopes of guiding young students, he stated, “I know that starting college comes with many hardships. Classes are difficult, you are in a new environment, you are living away from family and friends—the list goes on and on. I just want to encourage new students to maintain a positive mindset. It gets easier. I think the most important thing for freshman is to get involved around campus. This will help them build a community and find a purpose their first year. From experience, having friends your freshman year will help make the transition a lot easier. I want to encourage students to partake in all the social and extracurricular activities offered around campus. It will be very beneficial to all new students.”

“My hope is that new students will have a fulfilling college experience just like mine,” he closed. Matthew Nemeth of Penn State University will receive his diploma from the school this coming May. Following graduation, he plans to continue his education and pursue a Master’s degree in Accountancy.
