David Berkowitz of Chicago has made an interesting and fulfilling career for himself by pursuing all of his most favorite hobbies. He is a photographer, videographer, explorer and extreme sports enthusiast who has found a way to connect with his audiences through highlighting the hidden gems of our country and all the fun activities one can engage in within it.

Early in his professional career as a photographer, David Berkowitz of Chicago went on a trip to the western United States, and was reminded of all the incredible and diverse geographical features that our country is blessed with. It gave him a sense of pride in where he comes from that made him want to explore every crack and crevice of the United States. So that’s exactly what he did: he loaded his pickup truck, invested in some reels of film and hit the road. He started in his hometown of Chicago, and then traveled East through Ohio and Pennsylvania, reaching into New York and hitting the northeastern region of the country. Once he made it to Maine, he turned around and drove down the coastline, all the way through Virginia and the Carolinas and down to Miami, Florida. He then skimmed up and down across the country in a zig-zag fashion, hitting every state he could on the way to Washington, where he then turned around and drove through Idaho, Montana and the Dakotas, eventually making it back to his home state of Illinois.

The tip, all in all, took David Berkowitz of Chicago a little over a year; but the photographs, videos and notes he took wile going through these lands will surely take him over a year to organize and compile into something that can be shared with a general audience. Expect big things to come from David Berkowitz of Chicago as he nears the end of creating his documentary, which will surely highlight all the fun that is to be had in the great 48.
